Resource Center

Welcome to our resource center. While there is no way to be 100% anonymous in this day and age, these steps will drastically reduce your exposure and make it much more difficult for wrongdoers to locate you and your family. Start removing yourself from databases listing your personal information. You can do this yourself or hire us to do it for you.

Below is just a small list of companies that distribute your information.

A few other things that you can do:

Your Address:

  • Stop giving out your home address and phone number unless it is absolutely necessary.
  • Rent a box at a Postal Annex or Mail Boxes Etc., but not a P.O. Box at the post office. Companies like Postal Annex give you a physical address like 1234 Main St. #556 which looks like a normal address. Short of a warrant or demand from law enforcement, they will not provide your personal details to the public. Plus you can have packages shipped to you at that address.
  • Change your address for your bills, magazines, and DMV registration to your new mailing address. As we know, your previous address normally shows in DMV databases so change it to your new mailing address and then make it confidential through the department.
  • Change your address with your insurance and banking institutions as you would be surprised at how some actually sell off your information.
  • You can even send utility bills to a mailing address, but unfortunately the service address cannot be changed.

Internet and Email:

Make sure your internet router’s encryption is on. During our training seminars we continually come across unsecured routers.

When using free or public Wi-Fi keep in mind you are on someone else’s internet connection which means they can see what you are doing.

Your phone number:

Sign-up for privacy guard on your home phone so blocked and restricted callers have to unblock before speaking with you.

Rather than giving your personal cell number for work related matters, sign up for a free Google Voice number that can filter your calls.

Applications and requests for personal information:

When listing employment information on credit applications and such list your employer as “County of Orange”, “City of Los Angeles”, “City of Escondido,” etc. Resis the urge to list, “LAPD”, “Orange County Sheriffs”, “LASO” etc. Trust us, you won’t get a better interest rate. By the way you are a “Civil Servant” so try that instead of, “High Speed Police Officer.”

Remind your family to also take these precautions as well.
